Biography
Zachary D. Margules is a Partner at the Margules Law Group, P.A. Mr. He is licensed to practice in Florida, New York, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He is also licensed in the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Florida, Southern District of New York, and District of Massachusetts. Having multiple licenses allows Mr. Margules to handle complex and multistate litigation, sometimes involving disputes with multiple parties and in multiple jurisdictions.
Mr. Margules is predominantly a business lawyer and commercial litigator, who also has experience as a sports and entertainment lawyer in the professional boxing and baseball industries. His experience in litigation helps him in providing quality in-house services to businesses and handling any legal matter that might occur including compliance and regulatory issues, contract negotiations and litigation. As a business lawyer, Mr. Margules is well equipped to handle all legal services for his clients, including analyzing, negotiating, and drafting agreements and advising on risk mitigation. He has litigated a variety of cases in the business and commercial space, including breach of contract, business torts, consumer protection (including Mass. 93A claims), construction, corporate disputes (such as shareholder and partnership disputes), employment cases (such as wage and overtime claims), and various other commercial matters. As legal advisor to the firm’s largest client, Warriors Boxing & Promotions, LLC, a well-known professional boxing promotional company that does professional boxing events and promotes professional boxers throughout the world, Mr. Margules has analyzed, negotiated, and drafted a variety of agreements in the professional sports industry (including bout contracts, promotional agreements, pay-per view agreements, television network deals, licensing agreements, venue agreements, and other industry related contracts). He has also assisted the company in promoting various events throughout the United States and Europe. Mr. Margules received his bachelor's degree (BA) in Political Science from Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania, and his juris doctorate (JD) from Suffolk University School of Law here in Boston, Massachusetts. During his years at Washington and Jefferson College, Mr. Margules was a member of the College's baseball team, which appeared in two NCAA tournaments during his career. Being a former collegiate baseball player, Mr. Margules has also recently become active in protecting the legal rights and interests of professional baseball players in the United States and elsewhere including issues concerning gambling violations, age and identity fraud, and other issues involving Major League Baseball. When Mr. Margules is not in the office or at the courthouse fighting for his clients, he enjoys spending time with his family and close friends, traveling to other cities in the United States and abroad, playing golf, and watching the Boston Red Sox!
